Creative legacy · a scroll story
One point of view.Twenty-five yearsof outputs.
Every picture on this page is the same character, put through a different craft. Ink, woodblock, letterpress, wayang kulit, pixel art, neon. The treatment changes on every screenful. The eye behind it does not. That is the whole argument for why Han Yong teaches AI the way he does.

Chapter one
Creativity came before the tools.
Branding. Graphic design. Illustration. Visual communication. Creative direction. Advertising and campaign development. Social media content. Character and intellectual property.
Twenty-five years of it, before a single prompt. The first frame is the character as rendered, untouched. The three after it are ink, woodblock and letterpress: crafts that predate every machine in this story by centuries.

- Ukiyo-e Woodblock · 1660s to 1890s
- Letterpress · 1450 onward
Chapter two
Culture is not a filter.
In July 2024 Han Yong exhibited as Zero3.by.Monster in the Old Master Q 60th Anniversary exhibition at Temenggong Artists-In-Residence in Singapore, alongside PHUNK, Arkiv Vilmansa and Mindblowon Studio.
The exhibition ran from 21 to 27 July 2024. His ZERO3-Q interpretation was also featured in the 60th Old Master Q celebration at the Fahrenheit88 Main Atrium in Kuala Lumpur, from 15 January to 25 February 2024.
Wayang kulit, batik and songket are not decoration on this page. They are the visual language of the market he works in, and the reason a regional brief does not need explaining to him twice.
- Wayang Kulit · from the 10th century
- Batik · UNESCO listed 2009
- Songket Brocade · from the 15th century
Chapter three
A character has to survive every style.
03byMonster is Han Yong's artist and character IP identity. ZEE is an original character developed inside that practice: illustration, character design, visual storytelling, cultural reinterpretation.
Which is what you have been looking at. The subject in the frame, changing craft every screenful for three chapters now, is one of his own characters. Sixteen treatments, still recognisably the same figure: the test run in public rather than described.
This is the part that transfers straight to AI. Holding one recognisable point of view across hundreds of generated outputs is the same discipline as holding a character across hundreds of drawings, and it is what he teaches as personal IP and visual consistency.

Chapter four
Then everything went digital.
Websites, social campaigns, multimedia content. In January 2022 he was credited as Designer for Global Citizen Club, an Ethereum project of roughly 8,888 digital collectibles.
The project's official team page credits Artist: Driv and Designer: ehyong. In his own words, this is one stage in a broader creative evolution, not the centre of his current positioning.

Chapter five
The machine arrived last.
Generative image, video, avatar and content workflows. HeyGen Ambassador for Malaysia and Singapore. HRD Corp accredited trainer, delivering in English and Mandarin.
Sixteen frames, one character, one point of view. The tool that made the last two frames is the newest thing in the sequence and the least interesting part of it.
- Synthwave · 2000s revival of 1980s
- Cyberpunk Neon · from 1982
AI did not create the creative foundation. It expanded what that foundation could produce.Han Yong
Which is why the training is not a tour of buttons. A team that cannot judge an output does not get better results from a better model.
